My workaround was to add the -incognito switch to my Brave icon, but that also isn't sufficient because I must use that icon all the time. So, that makes this setting totally useless for most people. ![]() which for some reason Brave requires being in a normal window. Why does this matter? Because you can't view the Settings window, About, etc. I was excited for this, then was met with disappointment because unfortunately this makes ALL Brave Browser windows forced to Private without any way to open a normal window. To clarify this, for anyone trying add/set this setting, it does not work unless you add the key in the registry at SOFTWARE\Policies\BraveSoftware\Brave. This issue could be solved by setting the value to 2. There is a value IncognitoModeAvailability.
